There are several schools in the neighborhood including Hillcrest Elementary School and Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School. The 312-acre John McLaren Park anchors the southeast side of the neighborhood, where you’ll find sports fields and courts, playgrounds and a dog area.
Mission Street is the primary commercial strip and lined with local grocers, produce markets and ethnic food stores. There is also an array of shops providing basic urban services and amenities.
