nob hill
One of the seven original hills of San Francisco, Nob Hill dates back to the Gold Rush era when it became an enclave for the city’s wealthy elite. Victorian mansions built by the Central Pacific Railroad’s “Big Four” tycoons once crowned the top of the hill, around what is now Huntington Park. The neighborhood was destroyed by the 1906 earthquake and fire, and rebuilt as it exists today with luxury hotels and homes boasting city views that dazzle.

Nob Hill is an iconic neighborhood with historic homes and immaculate streetscapes, where each turn offers a unique and postcard-perfect vantage of the city. Apartment houses are plentiful, as are condominiums and TICs in boutique low-rise buildings. The neighborhood has only a small supply of single-family homes that rarely come on the market.
The world-famous Fairmont Hotel, SF Masonic Auditorium, and Grace Cathedral draw locals and tourists alike, while off-the-beaten-path establishments for dining and drinking offer a decidedly more down-to-earth experience. Proximity to Union Square, Chinatown, North Beach and Polk Gulch put within arm’s reach just about any urban amenity and cultural experience you can imagine in San Francisco.
