twin peaks

From apartment-style condominiums and TICs to multi-level modern houses, the common feature among homes in Twin Peaks — and the major draw to the neighborhood — is spectacular panoramic views of the city and beyond. While the steep location lends a feeling of being removed from the city center, urban amenities are accessible in nearby Diamond Heights and down the hill in Cole Valley, Eureka Valley, Noe Valley and West Portal.

For recreation, residents can hike Twin Peaks’ 60+ acre park, a natural habitat for several species of birds, butterflies and other wildlife. At the top, the lookout point is a tourist hotspot with breathtaking views that read like an aerial survey of the city below.

Diamonds Heights Shopping Center is a short distance away and includes a Safeway grocery store, Bank of America, several restaurants, hair salon, veterinary hospital, and other services. Down the hill in any direction, various neighborhoods offer their own flavor of amenities in addition to MUNI access for getting around town.
