At the southern end of neighborhood, Grand View Park is a local favorite and a closely guarded secret — a hot spot for dog owners, with a number of wooded trails, a tennis court, picnic tables and a playground. Views here are exceptional, extending from the Pacific Ocean to downtown. Though it’s only about the size of a city block, Grand View Park is home to many native species of flora, giving botany buffs a peek at what San Francisco looked like before it was unsettled.
An ideal evening in Golden Gate Heights could include a walk up the mosaic-tiled Moraga Street stairs to catch a spectacular sunset, then down to the Inner Sunset for a plethora of dining options.
