First opened in 1928 as a deluxe community theater, The Parkside marked the completion of development along a two-block stretch of Taraval Street in San Francisco’s rapidly advancing western neighborhoods. Its silver screen went dark sixty years later, and by the early 2000s the site was converted to condominiums.
